So there is one song that has continually been at the back of my head all this year. I don't always have it stuck in my head, but I find myself singing it the most often at the early hours when I'm walking back from studio or alone in my room. I think some of the reason is because it's one of the few songs I know all the lyrics to, beginning to end (it's short). But I also love the lyrics, and much of it reveals so much to what is going on in my life, what I've been learning, what God has been doing.

He is jealous for me/
Loves like a hurricane/ I am a tree/
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy/
When all of a sudden/
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory/
And I realise just how beautiful You are/
And how great Your affections are for me/

And oh, how He loves us so/
Oh how He loves us/
How He loves us all/

Yeah, He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves/
Yeah, He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves/

We are His portion and He is our prize/
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes/
If grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking/
So Heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss/
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest/
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets/
When I think about, the way…

He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves us/
Oh how He loves/
Yeah / He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves us/
Whoa! how He loves/
