thankful for simple things

I've decided that I'm turning into an old lady. Why? Well, in the past few days I have:

  • used at least 10 coupons at the grocery store (which ended up knocking $20 off my bill!)
  • decided that spending money for fancy coffee was stupid, so I figured out how to make an almond-mocha   cafe au lait from scratch.
  • bought dried chickpeas instead of canned and soaked and cooked them... (hey, it provided about 5 or 6 cans worth for the price of 2!)
  • got my day made by first getting a new oven (!!!!!!!!) and then by getting a coupon for FREE yogurt in the mail

Yes, I think I'm becoming old. I make my own yogurt and almost always refuse to make anything not from scratch. I feel ridiculous, but I'm happy about it :)

So today I will especially enjoy the amazing weather and the fellowship of the Passover Seder we'll have with our New Tribe (Bible Study). This past week - and even past few weeks, have been a little crazy, confusing, and stress-inducing. But I've had a great peace about it all, and a progressively-increasing joy through it all.
